Born in California but rooted in Austin, Texas since the age of 10, I have always had a passion for music and a love for teaching. From the age of 9, the flute became my longtime friend! Throughout my formative years, I was privileged to receive a well-rounded musical education under the guidance of exceptional educators in the area of North Austin.
My instructors, past and present include Jennifer Keeney, Rebecca Poole, and the illustrious Dr. Adah Jones, Professor of Flute at the Texas State University School of Music. Under their guidance, I have improved my skills and cultivated an appreciation for the flute.
As a current senior at Texas State University, I've had the honor of learning from distinguished professors like Dr. Caroline Beatty, Dr. Kyle Glaser, and Dr. Jordan Stern. Their expertise, along with the immersive environment fostered by Texas State, has been nothing short of transformative. Each lesson, rehearsal, and performance has been a stepping stone in my journey as a musician and aspiring educator.
As for my personal life, I am the eldest of 4, raised as the only daughter in my family so I grew up around a lot of boys. During my free time I love to be around friends and family. My favorite pastimes are watching movies I haven't seen before, binging shows and movies that I have seen a million times(Pride and Prejudice), cooking new dishes for me and my boyfriend to try, and eating out at restaurants I've never been to in the Central Texas area.
